Best bet is to get the codes read to confirm. While the airbag error is up your airbags are inoperative which isnt good in the event of an accident.
7/20/2015 · Capacitor reaches full charge, fault light goes off. If there’s a serious fault that is (or could) hinder airbag deployment, the system will log a fault code and the SRS fault message will not go away. These warnings/logs cannot be cleared without a diagnostic tool. If the light goes off and there’s no code, chances are there’s no problem.

After they clear it, its usually good for months or unless I heavy break (still testing this pattern).
8/20/2014 · When you take seats out and disconnect the airbag you need to DISCONNECT THE BATTERY AND WAIT 20 MINS SO THAT THE AIRBAG CAPACITOR DRAINS or it will throw a code .
